Booth Fundraising Ideas
Whether you're organizing a fundraising booth for a festival, job fair, church event or bazaar, your booths have to provide visitors with goods or services that will encourage them to stop and donate to the cause. Booths can offer anything from food and drink to jewelry and items for the home.
Baked goods, like cookies, brownies and cupcakes, are edible items you can sell at your booth to attract adults and children. These items come in many flavors, such as chocolate chip cookies, fudge brownies and vanilla-frosted cupcakes. Offering these items in small or large portions, priced accordingly, allows most everyone to buy something from the booth.
Gift baskets, gift cards and electronics are popular items that companies and organizations use in raffles to raise money for events and causes. Raffle tickets can be sold in advance, as well as at the event booth. Prominently display the prizes to attract participants.
Homemade lollipops in the shape of a team mascot, event colors or of popular cartoon characters can generate sales. Consider these in addition to traditional chocolate candy bars or homemade fudge. Bundle by the bag or sell individually.
Candles, which come in a variety of colors, shapes and scents, appeal to a wide range of people. Candles can be used in homes and offices, so they make great gifts for friends and family members.
Local celebrities can pull a crowd to a fundraising booth by autographing pictures, T-shirts, compact discs and books. From authors and musicians to local newscasters and professional athletes, find a person dedicated to helping your cause to interact with attendees and help with your fundraising efforts.
During a holiday, like Mother's Day, Christmas, Father's Day, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah, people will be shopping for gifts they give to family and friends. Provide them with a booth that wraps their gifts on-site, saving them the hassle of wrapping presents when they get home. Offer gift wrapping, gift boxes and gift bags. Add bows and gift tags to presents for added adornment.
Face painting tends to draw eager children who want favorite cartoon characters, butterflies, bugs, smiley faces or other images painted on their faces. Use non-toxic paint to protect skin. Offer at least four to six designs that children can choose from.
